[pane title=”What time does Applefest begin and end?”] Applefest is held on Sunday from 10 am – 5 pm [/pane]

[pane title=”Is there an admission fee for Applefest?”] The festival is held in the streets and parks of the Village of Warwick and admission is FREE. [/pane]

[pane title=”Where can I get more information about Applefest?”] Before you come, check out our website for more information and downlaod the Applefest Visitors’ Guide booklet. The updated Visitors’ Guide will also be available for FREE at the festival, and includes a festival site map, list of vendors, musical entertainment schedule, lodging ads, wineries, apple orchards, and much more. [/pane]

[pane title=”Who benefits from Applefest?”] Proceeds from the festival benefit the Warwick Valley Community Center, the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce, and some 50 local non-profit organizations, for whom the event is their biggest annual fundraiser. [/pane]

[pane title=”When is the Applefest Carnival held and what are the ticket prices?”] The Carnival runs all day Sunday (10 am-5 pm), PLUS two pre-Applefest, Carnival-only evenings on Friday and Saturday (4-10 pm). In addition to individual tickets, wristbands for unlimited rides are approximately $15. [/pane]

[pane title=”Where can I find directions to Applefest?”] Get directions to the Applefest here. You may wish to arrive on Saturday, the day before Applefest — you can drive or take the bus (NO bus on Sunday) right to the Village, and stay in one of our lovely Bed & Breakfast inns or motel (see lodging Q&A below). [/pane]

[pane title=”Are there trains and/or buses from New York City that go to Warwick and Applefest?”] Warwick is located in the countryside and unfortunately is not directly accessible by train. On Saturday, the day before Applefest, there is a bus from NYC’s Port Authority to the Village of Warwick, and you can stay overnight (see lodging Q&A below). IMPORTANT NOTE – Because of the heavy traffic on Sunday — the day of Applefest — buses are unable to come into the Village. [/pane]

[pane title=”What’s the best way to find a room in Warwick for Applefest weekend?”] Warwick has many lovely Bed & Breakfast inns and a motel. Some are located within walking distance to the festival site. For information, go to the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce website. You may also browse our website and look at lodging ads in the Applefest Visitors’ Guide. Reservations are a must for this busy weekend! [/pane]

[pane title=”Where should visitors park? “] Parking in the village during the festival can be a challenge, so plan to arrive early and park in one of the satellite parking lots ($5.00 donation to a local non-profit) and take a FREE shuttle bus, which run continuously during the day. Handicapped accessible buses are available at the Warwick Middle School parking lot. Other parking is available at Warwick High School, Park Ave Elemenary School, Veterans Memorial Park, and the Georgia-Pacific building lot. Get Parking Lot Locations and Directions. [/pane]

[pane title=”Is there an admission fee for the entertainment?”] Admission is FREE for a variety of acts on several stages the whole day. [/pane] [pane title=”Are there activities for children? “] The Carnival at Applefest in Stanley-Deming Park offers a variety of kiddie and larger rides, amusements and activities for children and families, with free admission. Wristbands for unlimited rides, as well as individual ride tickets, are available. Families can also enjoy the Carnival before Applefest when the Warwick Valley Community Center hosts two Carnival-only evenings on Friday and Saturday, from 4-10 p.m. (separate wristband fee for each night). During Applefest, there are many family/kid types of vendors, face painter, etc. in Stanley-Deming Park next to the Carnival area. [/pane]

[pane title=”How can I get a list of Applefest vendors?”] A list of vendors is included in the Applefest Visitors’ Guide. The Visitors’ Guide will also be available for FREE at the festival and includes a festival site map, list of vendors, musical entertainment schedule, lodging ads, wineries, apple orchards, and much more. [/pane]

[pane title=”Do Applefest vendors take credit cards?”] Some, but not all, craft vendors take credit cards. Food vendors take cash only. If you prefer to eat at one of our local restaurants, most take credit cards. ATMs are available at several banks and businesses in the village. [/pane]

[pane title=”Where can I buy an Applefest t-shirt with this year’s design?”] During the festival, t-shirts with this year’s design will be sold at the “Applefest Information” table at the Chamber of Commerce Caboose, located near the railroad tracks. Beginning in September, the new design will be shown on the Applefest website. [/pane]

[pane title=”Where can we go apple and pumpkin picking in the Warwick area?”] There are several orchards with apple and pumpkin picking during the fall. For more information, go to the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce website — on the WVCC Visitors’ Guide page you can download their Warwick Tourism Guide. You can also go to www.warwickvalleyappletrail.com. [/pane]

[pane title=”Are dogs allowed at Applefest? “] For the safety and consideration of all, the Applefest Committee advises everyone to leave their pets home for the day. Since the festival draws many thousands of visitors, safety and liability are primary concerns. Thank you in advance. [/pane]

[pane title=”Why is Applefest only a one-day event?”] Unlike festivals held at fairgrounds with fencing and entrances & exits, Applefest is held in our village streets and parks. Vendors would have to leave their booths up overnight with all their merchandise and equipment unattended. With its hundreds of vendor booths, the Police would be unable to monitor and secure the entire festival area overnight. [/pane]
